Hi I've been using Fetch for years now and happily use everyday, I've just come across a problem that I have encountered before..

I want to upload 2500 images. I can transfer these 2500 images ok, but when I 'refresh the file list' It shows only 1,998 images. I have seen this before and unsure whether its my server or a bug with Fetch. My server guy says there is 4,568 images in the particular folder, but Fetch is only telling me there is 1,998...?

I'm using Fetch 5.3.1 (Will upgrading maybe fix this bug?)

    Kind Regards

    Hi Ross,

Fetch does not have any limits on the number of files it will display in a file list. This is not a bug in Fetch; it is completely a server issue.

Some servers only list the first 2000 items in a folder when Fetch or any FTP client asks for a file list (you only see 1,998 items because the other two items are special-purpose directory items that Fetch normally doesn't display).

There's nothing Fetch can do about this - Fetch asks the server to give it a list of all the files in the folder, and the server only sends a list of 2000 items back. The only thing to do is to complain to the folks who run the server and ask them to get new or upgraded server software that doesn't have this limitation, or to change to a different server.

Sorry, I wish there was a solution we could give you for this, but it's out of our control.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,
