Mirror remote to local with remote inaccessible folders (5 posts)

I would like to be able to use Mirror to copy from a remote server to a local copy to make sure I have all the most recent changes. There are a couple folders that are in the web root that are placed there by the host to which I do not have the rights (_dsn for example and a stat logs folder). In the case of "_dsn" this pretty much stops the Mirror process in it's tracks before it gets very far.

For the v5.7 update I saw in the release notes "Added preference for skipping over files you do not have permission to download" and I was hoping this would solve the problem. Likely it is right there in front of me but, unfortunately, I cannot find this preference anywhere.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you,
    Jake

    Hi Jake,

Look in the Download section of Preferences, and check the "Skip items you don't have permission to download" box.

    Thanks,

Nice. That was it - staring me in the face the whole time...

    Thank you.

Yay! Is that why mirroring now seems to inventory the files on the site before downloading starts?

The inventory is so we can show you the progress and estimated time to completion for the whole operation.

    Thanks,
