just downloaded Fetch 4. In dialogs (specify server, registration) the mouse (cursor) 'hangs' when moving over a field, a button. Mouse will move again, hangs just when entering an object for a while

    ??

puzzeled because I've seen this with two other app's as well (ConceptDraw, )

    thanks, m.

Hmm, I haven't seen that myself. I'd be interested to hear if the problem persists on Mac OS X 10.1 (which is due out soon). I'll keep my eyes out.

Jim, when you say you have not seen this, have you used Fetch with MacOS X 10.0.4?

I am also having this problem, and I don't think it is an issue for Apple to solve. I think this is an issue with Fetch. I have seen this very same issue with other Carbonized Applications.

This makes the software almost unusable. Please say a fix is on the way?? After all, once we pay for something there is a level of use that is implied with that sale. As it stands now, I have paid for the software, and I don't have basic use of most any feature. In fact, upon starting the application I can only use the keyboard to type in the address. I must hit 'return' on my keyboard and use tab because the mouse feels like I am running OS X in a 68000. This is not a speed issue on my part. I am running an 867 MHz G4.

Please let us know when or if a fix is on the way.

It all works fine in OS 9.2.1.

Yes, I have tried Fetch with X 10.0.4, but no, I haven't seen the behavior you describe. I have not tested that combination on a PowerMac G4 (I have on a PowerBook G4) so perhaps that's an issue.

What other Carbon applications have you seen with this problem?

    Thanks,

Sounds like it may be the same problem (busy waits during dialogs) that I reported some time ago.

And yes, the Eudora beta has the same problem. I think it's a Carbon issue.
