I cannot connect. I had my ISP test it locally and it took them 30 seconds. They suggested I check my local firewall or network settings. How do I do that? And what am I checking for?

Please help this novice MacOSX! THANKS!

Can you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after you try to connect? It should contain clues. Choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu to open the window.

    Thanks,

You might try changing the setting of the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences (choose "Preferences..." from the Cutomize menu in Fetch, then click on the Firewall tab). Does that make a difference?

    Thanks,
