Never connects. Dog keeps running (3 posts)

I'm a newbie Mac user. The dog just keeps running. Never connects to the site--which is hosted at godaddy.com. As per the Fetch userguide, I tried pinging and tracing the connection, but it all came back ok.
Any ideas would be very useful.
I'm trying to figure out how to publish iWeb pages to a non .Mac server. (so any info in this regard would be helpful too.)

    Thanks very much.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Fetch.

After you try to connect and the dog runs and runs, could you please choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them here? We'll take a look and try to figure out what's going on.

To publish iWeb pages on a non-.Mac server, you should use iWeb's "Publish to a Folder" command, and then upload the entire contents of the folder created by iWeb to your server.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

are you using PASV mode or ACTIVE mode? Try ACTIV mode (the default, PASV box unchecked, in Preference panel, Firewall)
