If Fetch needs a serial number it will put up a window including an "Enter Serial..." button every time you run it.
You can add passwords to your shortcuts by choosing "Fetch Shortcuts" from the Window menu, selecting the shortcut in question, and choosing "Edit Shortcut..." from the Customize menu.
Thanks,

well, I selected the shortcut and the settings were correct with the password , user and url. I also tried a file type and a folder type but it ignores the settings and asks for a password every time I click on the shortcut icon it has made for me. any solutions?

I used to have an imac with os 9 when i purchased fetch 4.0.1. Now I just bought a G4 and downloaded 4.0.2. I just need to know where to enter the serial number so i still have the program when my 15 days are up. One more thing, when i make a shortcut, it always askes me to enter a password, I wish to just enter without typing the password since I am the only user on my computer. thanks in advance.
