The new version will support SFTP; most servers that support SSH support SFTP. We aren't ready to announce a release date, but we're getting close.
Thanks,

Any word on a release date? We'd like to provide our users with a consistent interface, but those upgrading our systems to ssh are getting anxious and requesting alternatives.

We're closer than we were a month ago :). Hopefully in another month we'll have something more specific to say.
Thanks,

Jim:
I downloaded Transmit today. It has some features a really like and I'm very tempted to jump ship. You're going to loose a customer, I'm afraid.

chauncey: In my experience, Transmit doesn't transfer files correctly when set to Automatic, Binary, or ASCII. It always seems to screw up my text and image files, making my cgi scripts and graphics useless. While Fetch isn't perfect, it does do the basics of transferring very well. Because of that, I am willing to wait it out for the next release (but please do make it soon!) !

Jim-
What versions of Mac OS X are you planning to support with Fetch 5.0?
PS-- How is the testing going?

Fetch 5 requires Mac OS X 10.2.4 or later (and is compatible with 10.4 Tiger).
The testing is going well; testers have found a few problems, but overall the program is looking very good.
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

Hi there,
I am a very happy and registered Fetch-user. But I really need a client that supports FTP over SSH. I read here that a new version will probably support this.
Could you shine a light on this matter? And when will it be released?
Thanks,
Jasper
