Norton update blocks FTP (2 posts)

  We've had a number of reports of problems with dropped FTP connections over the last few days. Apparently an update to Norton's anti-virus and Internet security software is resulting in blocked connections (https://community.norton.com/forums/ftp-blocked-following-update-27-november-2014). Norton says that they are working on a solution. In the meantime, a workaround is to disable Norton, or at least turn off vulnerability protection.
