I am not sure what info should be in the Initial Folder. The port is 990. FTP with TLS/SSL. Fairly sure its passive but not 100% sure how to make sure it is PASV.

    Hi Anne,

Not all severs require that you enter something in the Initial Folder field, so it may be fine to leave it blank. But if you are getting an error when you try to connect or do not end up in your home folder when you leave it blank, you should contact the company or people who run your server and ask what you should enter as the "initial folder" (also known as "initial path"); what is required varies from server to server, so we can't give a definitive answer, but the people who run your server will know.

Fetch will try both passive and active modes when making a connection. By default it will try passive first. You can change which it tries first by opening the Fetch Preferences, clicking the General tab, and looking at the "Use passive mode transfers" checkbox - if it checked, Fetch is trying passive mode first when it makes connections.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
