Not showing files I know should be there (4 posts)

    Fetch is showing only 2 folders on the ftp site, when I know that there should be at least 6-10 more. I have refreshed the list, I have quit Fetch and restarted. I have checked the "ignore cache list" preference.

    This has happened before, and I connected to a different ftp site, then reconnected to this site and that fixed the problem - I could access the previously lost files. This hasn't worked this time.

    Thank you for any help or suggestions

    Hi Kat,

    We'd like some more information to help diagnose the problem. Could you please do the following?

    * Quit Fetch, if it's running.
    * Open Fetch again.
    * Connect to your server and go to the folder where you believe you are not being shown all the contents.
    * Go to the View menu, and choose Refresh.
    * Go to the Window menu, and choose Fetch Transcript.
    * Copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

    Thanks,

    Embarrassing, but seems someone else had removed the files that I "knew" were there. Woops! Thanks for your prompt reply though.

    I've also realised that if I do have problems with files not appearing, refreshing is the easiest option rather than logging out and in (and of course making sure they really ARE there)

    Hi Kat,

    You're welcome, and we're glad to hear you figured it out.

    Yes, refreshing the file list should always work to show you the exact contents of the folder on the server; logging in and out shouldn't be necessary.

    Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
