    Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't . Sometimes the error appears right at sign on sometimes it comes when opening a directory. I am baffled. I used fetch extensively in OS 9 with fetch 3. Now I am using 4.01 in OSX. ??

    That bug will be fixed in the next release, due out within a month. In the meantime you can uncheck "Use Internet Config" in the General section of Preferences and check "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" in the Firewall section of Preferences to work around the bug.
