I am connecting to a sftp host that has password login disabled and id_rsa login enabled.

Fetch and /usr/bin/ssh both can tell that passwords are not allowed, however fetch requests the password - which is unnecessary.

Note: Fetch does later correctly allow id_rsa login

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, we hope to someday improve the connection dialog so that it doesn't request a password when it's unnecessary.

In the meantime, you can just enter a dummy password. If you'd like to avoid entering a dummy password every time, check the "Add to keychain" checkbox beneath the password field after you enter a dummy password. For all future connections, Fetch will automatically retrieve the dummy password from the keychain, and then it will go on to prompt for the id_rsa login.

    Thanks,
