I am building a shopping cart for my site. I have to password protect the "cgi-bin/store/protected" Directory. They have a thoroughly confusing method using an Htaccess file and telnetting. I've read and re-read the instructions. Have not been able to figure it out.

Then it dawned on me. Shouldn't Fetch be able to do that? Hope so.

    Looking forward to a "yes!"

Fetch can transfer or edit (with the help of BBEdit) the .htaccess file, but it can't help you with generating the .htpasswd file. Unless there's a Mac program to generate those files you'll have to use telnet for that part.

    Sorry about that,
