Period beginning filenames in OSX (2 posts)

    I connect to another platform that begins all filenames with a period. This is obviously a big issue in OSX because that will make the downloaded file invisible. How can I correct this?

    I understand that OS X can be configured to show dot files using a program called TinkerTool, but I haven't tried it myself.
