    Hi Karla,

    Sometimes Mac OS X gets confused about privileges when you're replacing applications. Fortunately, the problem is easy to solve. Please do the following:

    * Make sure you've quit Fetch.
    * Open your Applications folder.
    * Drag the old version of Fetch to the Trash.
    * Copy the new Fetch to your Applications folder.

    That should do it. Please let us know if you're still having problems.

    Thanks,

    Scott I had a valid Serial Number for my old version, it asked if I wanted to upgrade. Now that I have thrown away the previous version it is not allowing me to upgrade without paying again. I tried to put in the old serial number, but it's not being accepted.

    Hi Karla,

    Fetch should not have told you that Fetch 5.5 was a free upgrade if your serial number did not qualify for a free upgrade; if it did so incorrectly, I apologize.

    You can download Fetch 5.3.1, which works with your current serial number, again using this link:

    http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/download/Fetch_5.3.1.dmg

    But if you'd like to learn more about what's new in the $10 Fetch 5.5 upgrade, please see http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/update/info/fetch-5.5 .

    I apologize again for the inconvenience, and please let me know if you have any further questions.
