Pics upload fine but some are wrong size in browser (8 posts)

I have used Fetch and PageSpinner for years to upload files to my website. When I refresh website using Safari or Firefox, some of the pics are the wrong size. I have resized the pics before uploading. I refresh again and some of them are the correct size, then refresh again and some revert to the wrong size, and others are now the correct size.

It gets very frustrating. Tonight I have refreshed, reloaded, rebooted, everything and still some pics are wrong size.

    What is the matter?

I would try one picture at a time. If you resize a picture, upload it, reload the page, and it is still the wrong size, then it's likely that either you're uploading to the wrong folder, or there's some other issue (e.g. the HTML or CSS specifies the incorrect size, so even though the image file is correct it displays incorrectly).

Could you post the URL of a page with an image that is incorrectly sized? I could take a look and see what I can figure out.

    Thanks,

I resized one pic, uploaded, refreshed page and it is still the wrong size. Sometimes a pic will show ok, then will revert to its original size. I have emptied cache.

    http://members.shaw.ca/winnipeg_scrabble/apr12.html

The first three pics are ok, They are the original size.

The following 8 pics are all width 432 pixels, height 324 pixels, resolution 72, 100% and approx 70kb.

Let's start with the last photo on the page, apr12-8.JPG. The copy on the server is 1080x810 pixels, 205,801 bytes. Could you upload your resized copy of that picture? If it does not show up correctly on the web page, choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu in Fetch and send me the entire contents of that window. The transcript may help me figure out what's going on.

    Thanks,

I think I'm stumped. The transcript you posted shows you uploading apr12-8.JPG as a 45KB file. But when I look at the server, it reports a file that's over 200KB.

Have you re-uploaded apr12-8.JPG since posting the transcript?

Hi, sorry had to go out for a while.

Yes I have checked each pic, made sure they were all of the same size, re-uploaded them and still this is happening.
It is not the fact that some aren't the right size, but when they do reduce to the correct size, then next refresh they are back to the original size is what confuses me.

I will keep trying different things and hope it corrects.
I have uploaded dozens of pic and never had this happen before.

    Thanks
