I have recently installed Mac system 10.3.2 (Panther) on my computer and can no longer make a connection using Fetch. I was using system 10.1.5 before on my computer with some problems that I could live with. When I try to log in now it gets to the part where it says getting file list and the dog keeps running and running but nothing happens. It is not my connection, as I can connect with my old laptop running system 8.1. I tried downloading the newer version on Fetch 4.03 but the same thing happens. Is there something I must do to make this work? Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated. Until this is solved the web pages cannot be updated.

    Thanks.

I just tried it with the firewall turned off and it works. Is there another way around this or do I have to turn the firewall off everytime I use fetch?

beaver: i was just going to post an almost identical situation. i also can make conection on my g-3 running os-9 but not with new fetch on g-5, os10-3.2 as you.

the wierd part is fetch will allow me access to another server that I don't really need access to now. (of course!) like you, I cannot edit site files now. any progress on your end?

    thanks

beaver: You could also try checking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences. If that doesn't work you'll need to keep the firewall off.

    Thanks,
