My first suggestion would be to change the setting of the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences. If that does not help could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window (choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu) when you see the problem?
Thanks,

The dog runs and runs while Fetch tries to "get file list". Then, time runs out. Before I got DSL, I was able to upload data for my client's web site. And, now, after my client's IP hosting company crashed and gave me new log on information, when I opened Fetch to re-uploading the files, the dog just keeps running. Am I to set up Preferences or anything else in Fetch differently? What can I do to fix this?
