    Hi
this morning I upgraded fetch from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3. It all seemed to go smoothly but from the first attempt at using it, although I can connect to any server it fails to get a file list (from anywhere) and produces the error message "Can't build data connection. Time out". This is on a Mac Powerbook running OS x 10.2.6.

I have tried accessing my co-hosted server from a windows 2000 machine with ftpexplorer and it's just fine, the problem is definitely on the Mac and/or Fetch. I left 4.0.2 in place as a saety precaution until the upgrade was proven but the problem appears to be affecting that version as well. Has anyone else had a similar problem or am I missing something obvious.

It is often necessary to switch the setting of the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences (choose "Preferences... from the Customize menu). Does that help?

    Thanks,

    Thanks Jim

That worked, should have tried it myself!
