Protocol for using PHP and fetch? (2 posts)

  Hello! I'm a novice with fetch and html in general, but I'm trying to add a page for my website that's a contact us form. I've gathered that I need a php file to gather the data, but I'm not sure I've implemented it with fetch correctly. The page shows up on my website correctly with all the input fields, but when I click to submit the data, it just downloads the php file instead of running/executing it. Is there something I need to do with fetch so that it works correctly(download php?). Thank you!

  Hi,

  I would contact your web hosting provider for specific advice. It may be that you need to change the permissions of the php file that processes the contact form; that's something you would do with the Get Info window in Fetch. But I don't know what specific permissions you would want to set, so I'd advise talking to your hosting company.
