Administrator just installed ms proxy 2.0 on our win 2000 server. I can get online fine but Fetch will not make a connection.

What settings do you have in the Firewall section of Preferences?

    Thanks,

I had the firewall settings to socks/ms 2.0
and the server names in their fields, and my username and PW.

Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after you try to make a connection? It is listed in the Window menu.

    Thanks,

Using SOCKS v4.3 gateway host: SBGINTERNET, port: 80
    Connecting to www.888wincash.com port 21 (10/5/01 8:19:18 AM)

You probably want a proxy port number of 1080 (the default for SOCKS) rather than 80 (which is the default for HTTP proxy servers).

Does that work? If not, could you post another transcript?

    Thanks,
