  I made text alts, but now I am ready to put and don't know the basics of what I need to select when the window comes up to "PUT" to replace page I fixed in editing.

  I would recommend reading the tutorial topic on uploading web pages. Choose "Fetch Help" from the Help menu to open Fetch Help, and click on the "Using Fetch" link and then the "Introductory Fetch Tutorial" link (or just search for "uploading tutorial").

  I did. I think I am missing something simple. I am trying to get the edits on the current website, but can't find how to select and move (or "connect") the new updated files into the website.

  It sounds like you want to upload the edited file to the server. To do that you would follow the steps in the "Uploading web pages" tutorial (i.e. connect to the server, click the Put button, and choose the file you want to upload).
