The 'transfer window' aete entry indicates that
numeric index is valid for remote files/items.
However, I cannot access them that way (it
compiles, but errors when run, saying it can't
get it). I'm trying to get a list of every
remote file in a directory. If I ask for the
remote item of transfer window 1, it returns
    the hostname(!).

Is there a trick to make it work?

    thanks,

Thanks for the report -- that appears to be a bug. If the transfer window you're interested in is in front, you can omit that part of the object reference. So instead of:

remote item 1 of transfer window 1

    you'd just use:

    remote item 1

That appears to avoid the bug.

    Thanks again,

    Cool, thanks!

    Hey, whatcha think:

    old: BBE FTP Open
    new: Boo FTP Open

or something dumb like MultiEdit FTP...
It's tough thinking up a new name!
