Replacing current website content with new webpages (2 posts)

  Hi,

  I am helping a friend of mine change her website. We just built webpages in iWeb and want to replace all of her current content.

  How do we do this?

  Hi,

  We have a help topic on using Fetch with iWeb that you can read here: Using Fetch with iWeb

  Before following those steps, you should connect to her server and remove the old website.

  First, you should download all the files that make up the old website and save them in a separate folder on your or her Macintosh, as a backup just in case something goes wrong.

  Then you should use Fetch to delete all the files that make up the old website. Please read over the topic on iWeb before doing this to make sure you feel confident you can upload the new one before doing this!

  Then use the instructions above for uploading the new website.
