I would recommend checking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Preferences. If that does not work, could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window when the dog is running? Choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu.
Thanks,

Still no joy when using the router, It tries to send a file then hangs.

Try checking the "Use Type I to transfer binary files" box in the Misc section of Preferences; does that make any difference?
Another thing to try is uploading to the incoming directory on ftp.fetchsoftworks.com (leave the User ID and Password fields blank). Does that work through the router?
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

I have fixed it. The isp has something wrong with their dial up. It handles traffic ok from an IDSN adapter but not a router. They are looking into it. They gave me another number to dial into and it all works fine on that line.
Thanks for your assistance.

I can ftp quite happily if i use internet connection sharing from a win machine as my gateway, however if i use my router the dog just keeps on running. I can however ftp from my win machines when my router is in use. Any ideas, as i want to use my router instead of having a pc on all the time.
