server file error (3 posts)

    I'm trying to upload a small page file-8 to 10k, and I keep getting this error message:

    server file error: Transfer aborted. No space left on device

    I am using only about 11mb of a 200mb space, so I'm not sure what's going on...

    any ideas?

    well. it has cleared itself up. I didn't do anything, but it's working now.

    any ideas what would have caused this, and what I might do in the future if it happens again? (besides take a break and get some coffee...)

    That message means that the server ran out of disk space (even though you hadn't used all of your quota -- service providers typically "overbook" the space on their servers, since most users won't use their entire quota). It sounds like they noticed and fixed the problem, which is what you'd hope.
