    I am trying to delete my old website to make room for a new one but Im running into a
    server file error: "xdirectory": directory not empty
    this keeps coming up and makes it impossible to delete any directory at all
    even though nothing exists within this directory - any suggestions on how to override this error and just delete everything on the server?

    Try choosing "Send LIST -al to UNIX Servers" from the Obscure Options pop-up menu in the Misc section of Preferences. Does that help?
