Hi,
We'd like some more information to help identify the problem.
Can you do regular uploads from your Macintosh to the receiving server without any problems?
Also, could you make sure the "Use direct server-to-server transfers" preference is off, try a server-to-server transfer, and then send us the transcript once the trasnfer hangs?
To find the transcript, choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu. Please copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them here.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

This is the transcript from a Windows server to Windows server. Yes, I can upload from my Mac to both servers separately but not from one to the other.

I tried to upload 3 simple text files and it just hangs, with server-server on and off. I tried it using Fetch 4.03 and it also hangs with direct server-server transfers on and off.
I finally tried using Transmit 3 and it seems to be working.

It looks like one of the servers blocks passive mode data transfers, and that will keep direct server-to-server transfers from working, and probably explains why you could not transfer with the regular settings either. Fetch 5 should work with "Use direct server-to-server transfers" unchecked. If it doesn't I'd be interested in seeing a complete transcript.
Thanks,

I'm trying to copy files from one server to another and I've tried using the "direct server-to-server" settings as well as the regular and each time the receiving server hangs. Both servers are Unix-based.
When I drag the file, the receiving server message below the window indicates "receiving index.html as binary file." I tried to check the box in Preferences/Obscure "use text mode tranfers for editing" but it still hangs.
Anything else, I can try?
