    Hi Jim,

The other day you gave me some advice to run the SetSecretOptions script to get Fetch to stop sending NOOP commands. One problem: every time I run the script, my computer freezes. I'm running OS 9.1 on a PowerBook Firewire. Any ideas what might be causing this problem? It happens even if I set my extensions, etc., to the 9.1 base set.

    Thanks,

    John

Here's a simpler script that should work:

    tell application "Fetch 4.0"
set dont send NOOP to true
    end tell
