shortcut path not working (3 posts)

I have been using Fetch for over a year and it has generally worked well. However, one aspect that has never worked for me is the path setting in a shortcut.

When I connect to an FTP site I can double click on a folder and that folder opens fine. Usually I am going into the public_html folder to access a web site's files. If I specify the folder I want to go into in the path setting of a shortcut it doesn't work and I get an error box saying:
Fetch could not get "public_html" because the FTP
server encountered an error accessing a file or
    folder.

If you entered a file name, folder name or URL,
    check that it is correct.

Server responded "I can only retrieve regular files"

I have lived with this since I started using Fetch, but it should work. I must be doing something really stupid?

The site is hosted on Lunar Pages and here is the Fetch transcript for a typical session that has this problem (note - I've changed IP addresses, site names and login ID in the text but otherwise the transcript is unchanged):

    Hi,

Does the problem shortcut have a document icon, or a folder icon? I suspect it has a document icon.

    Please try the following:

    * Select the shortcut by clicking on it once.
    * Go to the Shortcuts menu, and choose Edit Shortcut.
    * In the dialog that appears, click the Kind popup, and change it to "Folder."
    * Click OK.
    * Try opening the shortcut again.

Does that fix the problem? Let us know.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire
