I have a bunch of shortcuts Under my Shortcuts Menu that I didnt create and want to remove. They do not look like the shortcuts that I have created. They have a little icon in front of them- -and no matter what prefs I trash they still appear. I can not select them under the Shortcuts menu either. They look to me as if they are shortcuts to Servers that are no longer running - - but I can not delete. Any ideas?

    Hi,

    To delete shortcuts:

    1) Choose Show Shortcuts from the Shortcuts menu
    2) Select the shortcuts you want to delete
    3) Choose Delete from the Edit menu

    Thanks,

These shortcuts are not selectable - -hence the reason I tired trashing prefs and plists.

You should be able to select shortcuts in the Fetch Shortcuts window just by clicking on them. What happens when you click on them?

I can't click on them. Is there a place to upload a screenshot so that you can see what Im talking about? These look like shortcuts that were set up for servers that are no longer available.

In answer to your question - -when I click on them I get a message that reads - -The shortcut cannot be used because the server is unreachable. Check your network connection and settings in the Network pane of System Preferences, and try again.

I have the same issue. There is a shortcut separated by a line at the bottom with a icon and a few letters beside it. What is this? Do you know? I can't get rid of it and it won't show up to be deletable. I sent a screenshot to the referred email above as you asked the other person. Thanks.

    Hi,

That is a Bonjour shortcut. Bonjour is a network protocol that lets servers advertise themselves on a network; it's commonly used to find network printers. Fetch lists publicly advertised servers from the local network at the bottom of the Shortcuts menu. You can turn that feature off by entering the following command in Terminal:

defaults write com.fetchsoftworks.Fetch BonjourEnabled -bool false

    Thanks,
