You might try putting the IP address 127.0.0.1 in the Host field, rather than "localhost". Does that help?

At http://www.stat.ohio-state.edu/department/docs/ssh/mac/macftp.html
there are instructions for using Fetch together with MacSSH to create a secure connection to a remote server. This involves setting a shortcut to "localhost". When I do this, Fetch tells me that no such host exists.
Can you tell me how to configure a shortcut to do this job?
