Hi,
You say the uploads stall when uploading large folders.
Do they stall in the middle of a file, or between files? (That is, one file has finished, but the next one has not started?)
If you haven't tried this already, open the Fetch Preferences, click on the General tab, and change the setting of the "Use passive mode transfers" checkbox - that is, check it if it's not checked, or uncheck it if it checked. See if that helps.
Also, if your server accepts SFTP connections, you might try connecting with SFTP and see if the stalls go away (not all servers support SFTP).
Let us know if any of these suggestions help.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

I have no way of seeing what's happening with the files since I zip the folders before uploading them.
However, I have followed your suggestion and unchecked "Use passive mode transfers", and that same folder uploaded without a problem.
Thanks.

Hi,
If you've zipped the folders beforehand, then you're really just uploading one big file.
If you run into this problem again, try Fetch's resume upload feature, whch lets you start uploading the file again where it left off. This may not work with all servers. For more information, see the resuming uploads topic in Fetch Help (or just click the link here).
If the resume upload feature doesn't work, let us know.
Thanks,

Hey Folks,
I ran into the same problem - I'm trying to upload a 1.25gig video footage for my editor to downlaod and edit but it keeps dropping me around the middle of the download 685mb... it just says "STALLED" and I waited for a good 2 hours and nothing so I did search to see what I can do cuz i'd hard to resart my upload right.
So i came on here. Now I tried the resume thing but - that option is greyed out also I noticed a strange thing the file i uploaded is called Untitle19 and it left some kind of code file rewrite... I did some print screens to show you folks. So what I did now to see if it will work is unchecked the "Use passive mode Transfer" as it was checked - hopefully now it will fully go through.
This is the greyed out RESUME: http://img485.imageshack.us/img485/7696/untitled2mb9.jpg
The strange code rewrite to my original file (Untitle19): http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/3500/untitleddi6.jpg
Hope you can help

Fetch stalls before completing certain uploads (large folders).
I've looked at the answers given to similar problems, but my prefences appear to be correctly set up ("Contact server during long transfers" is unchecked).
Any idea?
