I would recommend unchecking "Use Internet Config" in the General section of Preferences (in Fetch). If that does not help, choose "Post-processing..." from the Customize menu and disable the post-processing actions that may be causing this behavior.

My "use Internet config" was already unchecked but your second suggestion worked perfectly!
Thanks.

For some reason Stuffit Expander is trying to open my .php files when I download them with Fetch. I can't seem to figure out if this is a problem with my preferences in Fetch or Stuffit Expander but it's driving me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
