Hi Sensei,
Yes, in Fetch 5 there's a checkbox in the "Transfer Options" section of the info window for disabling automatic decoding of StuffIt files.
You can read step-by-step instructions in this help topic: Decoding files automatically.
Let us know if you have further questions.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

That's good, but is it possible for Fetch to remember this setting and use it on every ftp session, so I don't have to 'get info', and set the 'transfer options' on every session?

Hi Sensei,
Yes, once you set it for one StuffIt file, that setting applies for all StuffIt files and all future FTP sessions.
Note that you may need to uncheck it once for .sit files, and also once for .sitx files.
If it keeps turning back on for you, please let us know and we'll investigate.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

I'm using Fetch 5.2 and I'm experiencing the same problem as users in years past: StuffIt is called and it tries to unstuff certain files I'm downloading. I don't see a "Post-Processing" setting or a Customize menu in Fetch anywhere, is there a new procedure to turn this functionality off?
Many thanks--
