You should choose Automatic or Raw Data format for uploading GIFs and JPEGs. As for the data connection problem, you might try checking or unchecking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Preferences.

I have been trying to upload .gif and .jpg files to our Web host. Fetch will upload files but only the .html files are viewable, .jpgs or .gifs don't show up.
I have tried auto, text and binary formats and none of them upload a viewable graphic file.
Also, every time I upload a file Fetch returns an error that says:
Server response: Data Connection: Connection reset by peer
I have no idea what that means or if it's related to the format issue.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
