Style Sheets in Quark (4 posts)

Older Fetch worked perfectly on OS 9.2 - I was able to download movie listings from a client, and import them into Quark "including style sheets" flawlessly. With newer version of Fetch (and OS X) file downloads okay, but now the text comes in as all one paragrah. No more breaks between listings. Style tags are all visible. Any suggestions? Is it the file I'm downloading, Qurak 6.0, Mac OS X, or the way Fetch is saving the file?

    Hi,

It sounds like these may be text files, and Quark is looking for a specific kind of line ending. Mac OS X uses a different type of line ending than Mac OS 9, and Fetch's default has changed to match that. But you can change Fetch back to use the older style line endings.

To do this, go to the Download tab of the Fetch Preferences and click on the "Text file line endings" popup menu - there are three choices, see if one of the other two fixes your problem.

If not, let us know and we'll investigate further.

    Thanks,

Thank you. The preferences solved the problem. That was a quick response and I appreciate that.
