I am suddenly having a problem that I have not had before with Fetch.

I suddenly can't get it to upload any file as text. It is uploading all files as binary, regardless of what I have selected (Text vs. Automatic). I even have Automatic defaulting to Text in the Prefs. Has anyone had this problem before? Why is it ignoring that I have "Text" selected?

Are you using Fetch 3.0.3? If so, the way you specify the upload format is in a dialog that comes up after you press Put File... and select the file to upload; the radio buttons in the transfer window only affect downloads.

In Fetch 4.0 there are pop-up menus in the transfer window for setting both the upload format and the download mode.

Fetch 3.0.3 uploaded .css files as text files by default, but when I tried uploading a .css file with 4.0, it was uploaded as a binary file. I had to change Fetch's suffix mappings to make .css files upload as text files.

Hmm, I'd expect Fetch to upload the .css files in text format if they had the "TEXT" file type.

The file type was definitely TEXT, and 4.0 kept uploading them as binary files until I changed the suffix mappings.
