Tiger sometimes has trouble with applications whose names end in a period followed by a number, such as "Fetch 4.0.3" or "Photoshop 7.0". Some things you could try:
* Rename the application to "Fetch 4".
* Rename the application to "Fetch 4.0.3.app"
* Select the application, choose "Get Info" from the Finder's File menu, and set the "Open with" menu to Fetch itself. Please let me know if none of these suggestions fix the problem.
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

I had the same problem, and possibly others as well. This thread wasn't easy to find, since it hasn't a specific title; I suggest creating an entry in the FAQ or at least renaming the thread to something like "In Tiger, Script Editor opens instead of Fetch".
By the way, renaming the Fetch application only works reliably when the check box "Don't show suffix" (or whatever it is called in English) in the Info window is unchecked.

Thanks for the suggestion -- I"ve posted a new topic with a clearer title.

I was using Fetch without problems up until about a week ago. However, since I upgraded to Tiger, whenever I try to run Fetch, the "Script Editor" runs instead. I've tried re-loading Fetch, but I keep getting the same results. Any suggestions?
