timing out while getting file list (2 posts)

    The trial version of FETCH 4.0.3 keeps timing out while I try to get to my ftp site. I'm in MAC OSX. Is there something I need to do in the preferences? The ftp site works on other systems....

    The first thing I'd try is changing the setting of the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences. If that doesn't help could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents after you see the timeout?
