When I try to upload stuff to my site using Fetch it says:

Fetch could not put 'index.html' because the FTP server encountered an error accessing a file or folder.

If you entered a file name, folder name, or URL, check that it is correct. Server repsonded: "Error during write to file: Disk quota exceeded index.html paritally uploaded."

    Thanks for you help.

    Hi,

Your web server is telling you that you are out of space in your account on the server; that is, there is no room to upload your site. ("Quota" is server-speak for "your allowed space.")

Using Fetch, you should try deleting some old files on the server that you no longer need, or, if that's not possible, contact the folks who run the server and ask them how to get more space.

    Thanks,

It's not the quota, because I'm no where near hitting that amount. In fact, before this started happening, I had deleted a bunch of stuff from that folder. Maybe that has something to do with it?

    Hi,

I do not think deleting stuff from your server folder would cause this problem.

Even if you believe that there shouldn't be a quota problem, the server is refusing to let you upload because it believes there is a quota problem.

You should contact your hosting provider - the folks who run your server - and have them investigate why you're getting this error from the server.

    Thanks,

    Hi -MagMom,
I'd also suggest contacting your provider. A buddy of mine had the same problem. After he called his cable provider they were able to rectify the 'stuck' files and all was fine. At the time the files seemed deleted but were NOT.
