The dog runs and then times out with the message:
<ftp connection to "ginger.futuris.net" could not be opened because the connection times out. There might be a problem with your network, or the server might not be responding.> My brother can access this address with no problem from his PC. I am using MAC OS x 10.2.8 and Fetch 5.0.2. I am on trial to see if it works! Thanks..

We're sorry you're having problems. Could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents after you dismiss this error message? This will help us figure out what is going on.

    Thanks,

I'm also having trouble. The server is time warner, who says they no longer support MACs. I've tried the update Fetch 5 and my older version of Fetch 4.

I vaguely remember something that was a problem when I tried Fetch 4 for the first times and that I had to do something with the preferences and a PASV mode.

The error I get is "No address could be found for that host name: make sure it is correct and your TCP/IP control panel is set to contact the correct domain server."

This happens even when I use the "anonymous" or the AOL ftp space.

What should my preferences and control panel for TCP/IP be?
