Underlined Text and Tabs (4 posts)

    Hello,
    I have just uploaded an updated version of my website created on iWeb 2 and the text in the uploaded version is underlined (but not in iWeb) and tabs have also been lost.
    Website = www.animalcancersurgeon.com
    Underlined text is all of the topics under "Cancer Surgery"
    Tabs are under Presentations -> Invited.
    Is this an issue with iWeb, Fetch, or something else? I didn't have this problem when I uploaded this website about a year ago.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Julius,

    There are no missing, misplaced, or misnamed files, as far as I can tell, which are often the cause of iWeb website problems.

    As best as I can tell, the HTML code for the topics under "Cancer Surgery" is actually telling the browser to underline all the text - and since Fetch does not change the contents of your files when it uploads them, it seems like it's an iWeb problem of some sort.

    I see that some of the text in the Presentations > Invited page is indented, so I'm not sure what might be missing there, but again, I see nothing obviously wrong.

    After you made changes to your website and used iWeb's "Publish to a Folder" command, did you upload the entire website, or did you just upload parts of it? Sometimes uploading just parts of an update iWeb website - even if you don't think the other parts have changed - can cause unexpected problems, so it is best to upload the whole website again after making changes. (If you used Fetch's Mirror command, it will do the correct thing.)

    But if you uploaded the whole updated website (or doing so doesn't fix the problem), I'm afraid the best suggestion I have is to post a question at Apple's iWeb support forums, which you can find here:

    Thanks, Scott. I did also post a similar message on the iWeb discussion forum. Although no answers, one respondent suggested I underline all the text and then remove the underlining. This worked - I am not sure why and how, but no more underlined text. I did a similar thing for the tabs on the Invited Presentations page. Thanks again for looking into the problem.
