A friend of mine tried to update our site --- www.heroshirts.ca --- using IWeb. The site now looks pretty bad. On the Mac he updated the site with it is OK, but on any other computer it looks terrible .... I have included the trascript:

    Hi,

I looked at your website and the front page looks fine to me - what sort of problems are you seeing? (I couldn't find any working links, though.)

    Thanks,

On the Windows computer the text blocks are not transparent --- therefore any images, fill and text are hidden by the blocks of white. On the Mac it looks just as it did in IWeb. I cleared the cache on both computers prior to testing the sites.

I want to also make sure I am using the PUT feature in Fetch properly when updating. Am i to select just the idex.html or the Folder? Both are modified today, so I should expect to see updates, correct?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

When you update your site, you need to "Publish to a Folder" again in iWeb, and upload all the files and folders it creates - so you should upload both the index.html file and the folder, every time you make an update.

The white boxes in Internet Explorer on Windows are the result of a problem that IE has with displaying transparent PNG files (which is what iWeb uses to create its fancy graphics). (For what it's worth, the site looks fine in Firefox on Windows.)

iWeb is supposed to include a fix for this problem in the websites it creates, I'm not sure why it's not working on your site. Maybe you should try uploading all your updated files again, and see if that fixes the problem.

    Thanks,
