Upgrading to 5.0 problem (3 posts)

  Mac G4: OSX 10.3.9
  When I tried to launch Fetch 5.0, a dialog box appeared with the message: "The action could not be completed because the hostname is invalid." The dilaog box would not disappear by clicking on OK. Additional dialog boxes would appear with the same message. Had to Force quit. Version 4.03 works fine. Repairing permissions did not help. Any ideas? Thanks.

  You should be able to work around this problem by deleting your Fetch Prefs file (from the Preferences folder in the Library folder of your home folder). Let me know if that does not do the trick.
