Hi,
My guess is that FileZilla is better tuned for fast uploads.
Thanks,

Hi Jim,
I'm unaware of the possible technical reasons, and I understand further details might be too long and unexciting to be explored on a message board. Thank you for your reply.
Fetch is still my choice.Kind Regards,

Hi,
First of all, I've been a proud owner of Fetch for many years, and I definitely wouldn't want to replace it.
I have to upload large video files to ftp servers frequently and I've come to notice that Fetch's speed is kind of stuck to a maximum of about 5.2 to 5.7MB/s, whereas FileZilla —sigh— reaches up to 13.5-13.7 MB/s (1K=1024bytes).
The comparison was tested on a connection to the same remote server and the same file (14GB).
I'm connected via Ethernet cable and the upload connection speed here is 297 Mbps (37.125 MB/s).
MacBookPro9,1, macOS 10.15.7, Fetch 5.8.2 (5K1354, Web Store).
What could be the problem?
