Hi Blake,
Are you saying that any file you upload stops after 28.4 MB is uploaded?
And could you please do the following?
* Quit Fetch, if it's running.
* Open Fetch again.
* Connect to your server.
* Try uploading again.
* After you receive the error, go to the Window menu, and choose Fetch Transcript.
* Copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi Craig,
My first guess is that you are out of space in your account on the server; there is no space left to store the file you are trying to upload.
Can you delete some old files on the server that you no longer need, and then try uploading again, and see if that helps?
Let us know if it doesn't.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi Blake,
If the only thing you have on your server (or that you intend to be on your server) is your website, my guess is you have multiple copies of the website on the server - possibly one folder containing a copy of the website got uploaded inside another folder with another copy of the website.
You may want to consider deleting everything on the server and starting over - again, only do this if all you're trying to do is put one copy of a single website on the server. If there's other stuff on the server that you want to keep, you should be careful of what you delete. That should free up space (especially since the server is now saying you've got 88 MB on it).
As for the problems uploading, it looks like there are occasional errors, either caused by your network connection or the server, that are causing the connection to be dropped while uploading.
I'd recommend giving our latest version, Fetch 5.5.1, a try. It has the ability to detect failed or stalled uploads and resume them automatically - so even if your upload is interrupted unexpectedly, Fetch 5.5.1 should continue the upload to completion.
Please note that Fetch 5.5.1 may not be a free upgrade for you. It is free to users who purchased Fetch on or after January 29, 2009; otherwise, upgrades from older versions of Fetch cost $10. For more details about upgrading, see http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/upgrade .
However, you can try Fetch 5.5.1 free for 15 days, and see if it fixes the problems, and if it we hope you'll consider upgrading.
If Fetch 5.5.1 does not help with your upload problems, or if you have additional questions, please let us know.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

I have an old Fetch 3.03 which always worked fine, for several years on a Mac 0S 9. However, several weeks ago, when I was trying to upload a file, it deleted the file of the same name, but didn’t upload the new version. Nor has it been able to upload any file since. I replaced the preferences of Fetch and its cache, but the problem remains. It reaches the server, opens my directories, but does nothing beyond that. (It also downloads only corrupted versions of good jpegs from my website.)
I now upload my files from a different computer with a different method, but is there any way I can rescue my Fetch 3.03?

Hi key,
At a guess, it sounds like your server made changes to the software they're using such that the server is not compatible with Fetch 3.0.3 - the server doesn't communicate properly with Fetch 3.0.3. Fetch 3.0.3 is 10 years old, so it wouldn't be surprising if it wasn't compatible with some modern server software.
If you're still on Mac OS 9, you should give Fetch 4.0.3 a try and see if it works better; if you're on Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, you should give Fetch 5.5 a try. If Fetch 4.0.3 or 5.5 don't work right, we'll take a look and see if there's anything we can do.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

That was quick! Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll look into those possibilities.

My web host replied "The software is constantly being updated. I have not heard this issue before though. I would follow the advice given and update your software,"
So I downloaded a trial version of Fetch 4.03, and that one seems to work quite well, with a sample file each to put and get. I'll give it the two week trial to make sure it can handle more complex uploads, but it appears sthe problem is solved -- until OS 9 is totally trampled by ever more updates on the Web.
Thanks again!

Hi key,
You're welcome, and thanks for the update. I'm glad that Fetch 4.0.3 seems to be working for you.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Best,
