Uploading PDF files (2 posts)

    Can Fetch 4.0.1 upload PDF files?

    I recently uploaded html files to my web space at earthlink (I have a G3 with OS 8.5) and it worked fine, with the exception of a PDF file which, after it's been uploaded, appears blank.

    Earthlink tells me that the source of the problem must be the uploading software.

    Has anyone faced this issue before?

    PDF files have to be uploaded in Raw Data format. If you have Fetch set to use Automatic format it will check your Internet Config settings to see what format to use. There were versions of Internet Config that mistakenly identified PDF files as text files, and in that situation the upload will be corrupted. The solution is to either fix the Internet Config mapping or specify Raw Data format.
