What sort of bytes/second number do you see? Are you able to upload other files?
Thanks,

right now one of files is trying to upload. It says:
File
Binary data 729, 125, 104K
Transfer 27,787,363 bytes
30,422 bytes/s.
6:21:28 time leftI just tried one of my files and it never got past 27,815k on the ftp site.
and yes I can upload other files. I just uploaded a whole web site of html and jpg/gif images last week.

The speed you are seeing -- 30 kilobytes/sec, or about 240 kilobits/sec -- is a typical upload speed for a cable modem connection (download speeds are often 2-4 times as fast). So yes, an 800MB file will take 7 or so hours to upload. You might try compressing the file with StuffIt or (since it's an audio file) with FLAC or some other audio compressor before uploading, to save some time.
Thanks,

I downloaded (from another ftp site) a 795, 230k audio wav file in about 40 minutes but uploading the same file thru fetch to my ftp site is taking 8.5 hours. There is nothing else on this server so i have space. i tried the automatic and raw data file types. i have a very fast cable connection.
any suggestions?
