I have users outside of my firewall that are using fetch. They are attempting to post to my Linux box. It is timing out. Username and password have been validated. Any suggestions? I have opened ftp on the firewall "from any to the IP". I am using a watchguard firebox. They have validated that the port is opened properly.

I would suggest having the users change the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" setting in the Firewall section of Preferences. Your firewall could be blocking incoming PASV connections.

If that doesn't work I'd be happy to look at the contents of their Fetch Transcript windows after they try connecting.

    Thanks,
